FROM bears to bangers, this year's Haslemere Food Festival thrilled and filled the stomachs of young and old.

Highlights ranged from a teddy bear's picnic on Lion Green to a sizzling Supreme Sausage competition at the Aga Shop, in the High Street.

"Chinook burgers" and "Spitfire sausages" also flew off the griddles at Haslemere Air Cadets' barbecue last week, as the barrels began rolling in for the three-day beer festival at Haslemere Hall.
