IMPOVERISHED children around the globe will get a double boost thanks to a successful charity gift fair in Petersfield.

REVIEW: So good, so good - Winton Players rise to challenge with proper pantoThe annual Christmas fair run by the Petersfield branch of the Save the Children charity netted £6,000 – a figure which will be doubled by the Disasters Emergency Committee.
Early Christmas shoppers flocked to the fair at the Festival Hall to take their pick from a huge variety of items on sale, which included unusual clothes, jewellery and handbags.
Silk flowers and gardening stalls did a roaring trade as did a stall selling traditional toys recently featured on the BBC television show Dragons' Den.
"It was a great success," said charity spokesman Pauline Kneen.
