ST Matthew's Primary School pupils this week released their debut album.

Having recorded a 12-track Christmas CD, children from reception class up to year six at the Blackmoor school can be heard singing an eclectic mix of songs, ranging from Little Donkey to Can You Feel the Love Tonight.

Songs were performed by various year groups, the breakfast choir, and the whole school. The project is seen as a way of allowing pupils' relatives to hear their vocal talents.

"Parents and grandparents don't really get to hear the children sing, and they are particularly good – they put in a lot of work," said administrative assistant Hayley Keet.
