IT had been some time since the last Lindford fete, so expectations were sky high for this year’s renewal – and the air ambulance was an appropriate beneficiary.
This year, advertising was done by Keats Estate Agent, with boards dotted around the village.
There was plenty of entertainment with a dance demonstration from the Eleanor Bowyer Academy. Also at the fair were The Choir Company from Headley and the Boppin dance group. Music was provided by The Dog Ends, who performed a mix of songs and Irish dancing music.
The money raised from the raffle and donations was donated to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
There were a variety of stalls, with holders including Grayshott Cricket Club, Lindford Chapel, Lindford Ladies and Pollyanna Pre-school.
The beer tent, organised by The Royal Exchange pub in Lindford, and the barbecue, cooked by the Spar shop, kept fete-goers fed and watered.
There was also a dog show, with entrants proud of their rosettes.
The far was opened by Yvonne Parker Smith, East Hampshire district councillor for Lindford.
