A 12-YEAR-OLD Bordon schoolboy is lending his voice to the campaign to save The Phoenix theatre, which is in danger of closing following the Ministry of Defence's request for the full commercial rent to be paid on the building it occupies when the lease comes up for renewal next year.

Director Jane Dawes has been paying a peppercorn rent, of little more than £200 a year, and she is worried that the amount could now reach several thousand per year.
