The curtain could come down on plans to show films in The Avenue Pavilion after what appears to be a stalemate between the organisers, Trooper Associates and Petersfield Town Council.
Town councillors agreed at their meeting on Monday night to put a stop on the 80 to 100 chairs it was proposing to buy for the hall.
