A BORDON woman is campaigning to raise awareness and improve cancer provision locally and nationally. Fiona Jackson said it was her aim to get ovarian and breast cancer clinics brought into Bordon's Chase Hospital and to get the age for recommended check-ups reduced. It is crucial, Miss Jack-son explained, to keep people informed and to discover symptoms as quickly as possible to get that all-important early diagnosis. A cancer surviver herself, Miss Jackson has also lost three sisters to the disease. "It's about raising awareness," she added. "The needless waste of life - women are dying before their time."
