MORE than 60 hectares of Frensham Common have been left devastated by a heathland fire.

The blaze threatened homes as firefighters from three counties fought to keep it under control.

The fire, which police have described as suspicious, broke out early on Sunday afternoon as hundreds of weekend visitors were making the most of the heatwave.
