FARNHAM Fire Station will open its doors to the community on Saturday, July 15.

The open day, to be held at the Guildford Road station from 11am to 4pm, offers a chance to see at first hand the range of activities involved with being a modern firefighter.

There will be demonstrations of firefighting and rescue skills throughout the day, as well as fire engines to explore, activities for children and refreshments.

Firefighters will also be on hand to chat about home safety, and all proceeds from the event will go towards the Firefighters Charity.
