BORDON fire station opened its doors on Sunday for a day of fun and advice.

Townsfolk got the chance to visit the retained fire station, in Conde Way, and to gain an insight into the various activities firefighters undertake.

A Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "The day was fantastic. Lots of people came and fun was had by all.

"Everyone seemed to enjoy the demonstrations we had put on, which is great as it helps to raise safety awareness."
