A BLAZE that trapped a man in a Petersfield office could have been horrific, according to the firefighters who saved him.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fire in a passage through Pages Court trapped a worker in his upstairs office.

The 25 year old was rescued from a roof skylight around 4pm after finding his escape route blocked by heavy smoke.

Staff at Something for the Weekend beauty salon raised the alarm at 3.45pm after the fire started in an adjacent bin storage area.
