BORDON firefighters are holding a fundraising car wash next Saturday, October 20, at the town’s (retained) fire station on Conde Way.

“We are raising money for The Fire Fighters Charity and for a local girl Jasmine Silvester and her chosen charity,” Bordon firefighter Daniel Todd said.

“It has been a while since we held an event like this and we would like to take the time to show people around the station or answer any questions they may have.

“We would really like to see as many of the local and wider community as possible at this event.

“We are looking to have a more community based approach to our fire station, and show the community who we are and the job we do.”

As well as being a good way to raise money, the event will give youngsters the chance to look around the fire engines and try on uniforms. There will also be a barbecue.
