LIPHOOK’S Firemen’s Ball proved to be a roaring success, raising more than £1,500 for the Fire Fighters Charity.
The lavish event was held in the new Gatsby Ballroom at Old Thorns Manor Hotel and attended by more than 150 people from around the parish and nearby villages.
Village watch manager Craig Morgan said: “People dressed up and had a great time. We have already been asked by the guests to put on a summer ball this year, as well as another one next spring.
“It was a first for Liphook and a great way to raise money for a very worthy cause.”
The Fire Fighter’s Charity was set up in 1943 to help wounded firefighters and provide support to their families during the Second World War.
It helps members of the fire and rescue community who put their lives on the line every day to save others, whilst providing support for their families.
The charity is the UK’s leading provider enhancing the quality of life for serving and retired fire service personnel and their families.
