WHITEHILL and Bordon’s annual fireworks and funfair night went off with a bang last Wednesday.
Organised by the Whitehill and Bordon Town Partnership, the event saw a solid turnout including, thanks to the addition of a child-friendly display, many young families.
Taking place at the Country Market in Kingsley, meant that a free bus service, sponsored by Radian housing, was used by around 300 people.
“The event went well with no issues and everyone enjoying themselves,” said Whitehill and Bordon Town Partnership chairman Curtis Bone. “We have had good comments about the display, with the main display lasting for 23 minutes.
The Dawson family, from Bordon, won a competition.
Mr Bone said: “Their two children, Max, eight, and Emmy, five, both got the chance to push the button to set off the main display.
“They also got to meet some of the team behind the event and enjoy food for the evening on us. The fair was as busy as ever. I would like to thank Dean Marshall, at Country Market, for letting us take over the site for free for the day and supporting us with other events.”
