WAVERLEY Borough Council has unveiled its vision for a new "first-class" multi-purpose community centre at the Memorial Hall in Farnham, to replace the dilapidated Brightwells Gostrey Centre. The new centre, which could incorporate a day centre for the elderly as well as NHS-backed health services, has emerged from discussions between Waverley, Gostrey Centre trustees and local GPs. It comes after the borough council commissioned a £30,000 feasibility study into the Gostrey Centre's move from Dogflud Way to the Memorial Hall in West Street last December. The feasibility study is not expected to be completed until the autumn, but Waverley has seen fit to unveil its ambitious plans for the new centre ahead of that date.
