IF your new year’s resolution is to get fitter and be more active, there are a range of activities that the Whitehill and Bordon Regeneration Company has arranged at Bordon’s Prince Philip Barracks.

Last Wednesday, some people were due to start their new fitness programme with a leisurely walk through the Hogmoor Inclosure SANG in Bordon.

But people who missed this event need not worry because on Friday, January 27, from 6pm to 9pm, there is a roller disco at the garrison gym, hosted by Disco Skate.

Roller skating is family-friendly and great exercise, with visitors often donning fancy dress to add to the fun.

Entry is £5 per person, which includes skate and safety-pad hire.

Skates are available to fit from child size eight to adult size 12. A tuck shop is also available.

On Sunday, February 5, is Gorrick’s mountain-bike race. The meeting place for this event, from 9am, is outside the tank crossing in Hogmoor Road.

Other activities and facilities at Prince Philip Barracks include aqua aerobics, an assault course, ballet, HIIT (high-intensity interval training) classes, junior football, martial arts, netball, outdoor pitches for rugby and football, pilates, squash, swimming, tennis, Zumba and water Zumba.
