FIVE people - including two children - were injured in a three-car collision on the A325 at Bucks Horn Oak last Friday during rush hour.

A Vauxhall Cavalier travelling south was involved in a head-on collision with a Peugeot van near the Halfway House public house at 5-50 pm.

The Cavalier was also in collision with a Vauxhall Astra which was also travelling south.

Police officers closed the road for around an hour to allow rescue workers to free the drivers and passengers from their vehicles and for the injured to be taken to the Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford.

The male driver (27) of the Cavalier was treated for a suspected broken leg, and his female passenger (24) suffered cuts and bruises.

A one-year-old boy, who was in the car, was treated for a possible fractured skull and a six-month-old baby was treated for bruising.

A 42-year-old man who was driving the van was taken to hospital with a suspected fracture to his collar bone.

All five who were injured were from Bordon.

The 19-year-old female driver of the Astra, who was from Whitehill, escaped injury.
