ANTICIPATION is building ahead of the Farnham Flash Festival 2018, with organisers Performers Together welcoming supporters and interested people of all kinds to a Get Together last week to learn about this year’s event.

After the success of last year’s venture there are plans to make this year’s bigger and better. Present at the event, held at the town council offices in South Street, was a creative mix of people who’d participated in Farnham Flash Festival 2017 and people wanting to join the growth.

It was clear from the interest and excitement in the room that the festival has great potential as a community-affirming event, and that ‘FFF18’ is likely to be more diverse and wide-ranging as ideas and suggestions for shows, venues and promotions flowed freely.

The first stage of involvement for anyone wanting to be involved is to let Performers Together know they’re interested. The best way is to complete the quick ‘I’m Interested’ form, which simply makes sure that you get all the necessary information.

Lots of these were filled in at the meeting, more have appeared online from those who couldn’t attend. Anyone can go to www.farnhamflashfestival.org.uk/join-in to be included.

The festival organisers are wanting to hear from performers of all kinds, and also, importantly, from any institution or business with space and the desire to bring people through their doors as audiences and potential customers, or simply a wish to be associated with this month-long event by offering support.

If you’re neither of these, but would just like to be involved in some other way, Performers Together stress that there’s plenty of room for anyone who wants to help. The same form covers all eventualities.

If you can’t get online to fill in the form, drop into the Herald offices in West Street and do it there.
