At its first monthly get together networking meeting earlier this month, Performers Together launched this year’s festival registration, inviting participation from performers, venues, supporters and (for the first time) advertisers.
“It’s perhaps not surprising, given the success of FFF17 and FFF18, that this year there was already significant interest being expressed in advance of the meeting and the launch of registration for FFF19,” said festival co-ordinator Kate Napier.
“Musical theatre, ‘straight’ theatre, choir concerts and instrumentalists, amateur and professional companies are already in the queue, and there are also plans for more writing events, another shindig and a community play, so it won’t be long before a calendar begins to grow on the festival website!”
For the first time this year, there is advertising available in the Flash Festival brochure, and the meeting heard several businesses had already booked a space.
Sponsorship deals are also on offer – Performers Together is keen to get the business community much more involved in the festival in as many ways as possible.
Performers Together was also able to announce Farnham Institute has again provided grant funding to help the festival to be more visible about the town before and during June. Other grant applications are in the pipeline.
One key aspiration this year is to establish a performers’ support fund to help with expenses for individuals or groups who might struggle to afford to participate.
With a new website at www.
farnhamflashfestival.org now carrying all the information needed, there’s really no excuse not to get involved with showcasing live performing arts in Farnham this June.
