IN what has become a school tradition Potters Gate School held its annual Shrove Tuesday pancake races this week.
Every child, from reception to year six took part and although the pancakes were not fit to be eaten by the time they had been dropped on the ground and picked up several times, all the pupils enjoyed the event.
Head teacher Jane Whittington, commented: "We had an excellent crowd of parents and friends who enthusiastically supported the children as they raced."
