THE Swan Inn public house in Chiddingfold was reopened last Friday under new management after flood damage forced it to close six months ago.

New landlord Daniel Hall purchased the inn three months ago and has redesigned the interior with a mix of the modern and the traditional, including a new colour scheme and modern art paintings by Brook-based artist Ross Martin.

Part of the inn is a restaurant with home cooked food and a large selection of wines.

Mr Hall said: "Everybody has thoroughly enjoyed coming here so far and I hope to carry on with the pub for many years."

The 14th century pub was last owned by the "Good Old Days" group, which included rock stars Roger Taylor from Queen and Gary Brooker from Procul Harum.

It was sold six months ago after suffering extensive flood damage.
