FLOODING caused traffic chaos in Ropley this week, with many motorists having to find alternative routes to Winchester and the surrounding area after the A31 between Petersfield Road and the Bishop's Sutton roundabout was closed.
Police urged motorists to avoid the area and not to ignore flood warning and road closure signs.
