A RETAILER is mopping up after a water pipe burst on Monday morning, flooding her shop and ruining the contents.

Fran Gill, of The Wardrobe in Normandy Street, has been in business for 13 months, selling quality secondhand designer clothes and accessories.

Mrs Gill was in for a profitable summer season when she received a call in the early hours to inform her that a pipe had burst in the Drum Housing flats above her shop at Saxon House. She arrived to find water pouring through the light fittings in the ceiling.
