FARNHAM Town Council has been accused of muddling its priorities after spending a large chunk of its budget on Farnham in Bloom while dangerous levels of pollution and unsafe roads continue to blight the town.
The council recently celebrated a double gold in the South East in Bloom floral display competition, but some residents and councillors have questioned the "high cost" of Farnham in Bloom to the town's taxpayers.
Around £10,000 was raised in sponsorship for this year's winning Farnham in Bloom entry, but the town council still forked out more than £82,000 for the scheme - almost 10 per cent of its total budget.
