This year’s display is particularly special as the sponsored carpet bedding will commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War, while also celebrating 100 years of Lions Club International.
More than 4,000 plants were potted in a three by three-metre square design specially commissioned by Farnham in Bloom, which depicts a lone soldier against a Union flag and a cross.
Stephen Hill, the town council’s lead member for Farnham in Bloom, said: “I think this year’s subject matter was particularly poignant and the unique design resulted in a very striking display.”
