RENOWNED artist Flora Twort produced a large body of work centring on Petersfield, but among her most elaborate paintings are her watercolours of the town square.

They show Petersfield and its people in a slightly idealised, but no less charming and humorous, way.

To celebrate summer, Petersfield museum is bringing her most popular paintings and some of her studies for the big compositions to the Community Gallery at the Flora Twort Gallery, on Church Path, from today until July 30.

The Flora Twort Gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday, from 10am-4pm. Entry is £2 for adults, free for children under 16.
