St Polycarp’s year five sports team has won the Active Surrey, all inclusive, Panathlon Sports Competition at Surrey Sports Park.

Nine teams competed in 10 Paralympic-adapted events such as curling, Boccia and table tennis. The team will now represent the area at the Surrey county finals in July.

In another success story for St Polycarp’s, year six pupil Martha won the Active Surrey ‘design a flag’ competition, after children across Surrey were asked to submit entries for a flag for the Surrey Spring Sports festival and county final event at Weybridge.

Martha’s winning design was made into a cloth flag and she got to lead the opening ceremony flanked by 11 highly commended flags also designed by St Polycarp’s pupils.
