WHITEHILL Town Council is hosting the national flag-raising ceremony next week. Soldiers from the Bordon Garrison will be on parade at the Forest Centre and members of the public are urged to show their support at the ceremony on June 23. Chris Wherrell, mayor of Whitehill, said: "The Bordon Garrison has been in the town for over 100 years and this event can raise public awareness of the contribution made to our country by those who serve, and have served, in Her Majesty's Armed Forces. "It also gives the residents an opportunity to show their support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces' community - currently serving troops, service families, veterans and cadets."
