GRAYSHOTT Folk Club is hosting a Christmas Special, at Grayshott Village Hall, in its final gig for the year this weekend.

Oxford group Magpie Lane will be performing traditional songs and music, with support by Godalming duo Mervyn Mewis and Kathryn Young on Saturday, December 16.

The event will support Save The Children Christmas Jumper Day fundraising campaign and a prize will be awarded for the concertgoer sporting the most outlandish festive knitwear.

Audience members are also invited to bring their own food and table decorations and complimentary Christmas crackers and mince pies will be supplied.

Mulled wine and Advent ale will be stocked at the pay bar.
