BORDON food bank has been given 500 bags for life following a joint-funding venture between Radian, Mill Chase Academy and St Mark’s Church.
Heather Ford, food bank co-ordinator, wanted to launch a bag for life to enhance the service already offered, as well as to support the environment, but needed funding to deliver the scheme.
Susi Drummond, Radian’s community development officer, worked with Mill Chase Academy and St Mark’s Church to co-ordinate and fund the bag-for-life project.
Paul Hemmings, Mill Chase Academy’s headteacher, said: “It’s an excellent way for us to work in the community.”
