PETERSFIELD'S eighth annual half marathon has been postponed due to the recent outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease which has forced people to stay away from the countryside.

The town's popular annual charity run, organised by the Petersfield Lions, was set to be the most successful yet with more than 270 entries received by post, which is 40 per cent higher than other years.
