PEOPLE close to Petersfield Town Football Club were rocked in the week of Remembrance Day by the news that one of their former players had been killed in Afghanistan.
Regimental Sergeant Major Warrant Officer Class 1 Darren Chant, of the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards, was shot, along with four other soldiers, by a "rogue" Afghan policeman at a national police checkpoint in the Nad Ali district of Helmand Province.
