STAFF at the BP/M&S garage on the A287 near Crondall donned football shirts to support the fight against cancer at the end of April.

The garage took part in the national ‘Football Shirt Friday’ initiative to raise money and awareness for the Bobby Moore Foundation, set up in the memory of the great 1966 World Cup winner to fund pioneering, life-saving bowel cancer research.

Organiser Richard Maskell said: “The event was very successful all the team members wearing there favourite team colours, competition to win sweets and beat the goalie.

“Altogether the store raised a total of £150, which BP matched to take our grand total to £300.

“We would like to thank the generosity of our customers and their continued support throughout the year.”
