BADSHOT Lea Football Club looks set to take over the Farnham Rugby Club's ground at Westfield Lane, Wrecclesham, following the impending move of the rugby club to its new base at Monkton Lane.

Waverley Council's executive is recommending the full council to accept the football club's proposal, which involves £50,000 capital support from Waverley toward around £600,000 of capital improvements to the poorly drained, sloping pitches and the clubhouse.

Waverley officers put the bid forward to the executive meeting last Tuesday as "the only viable option".
