EACH year Forest Lodge Garden Centre in Farnham choose a local charity to support with the proceeds raised from their animated Christmas window display, this year Forest Lodge are pleased to have chosen children’s charity, Challengers.
The 2016 display is an eye-catching scene full of bright lights and colours with a snow globe at the centre, a giant fluffy polar bear and a moving train set that travels around the display.
Forest Lodge is encouraging visitors to give their loose change to the display which will then be going directly to Challengers.
Challengers is a charity which provides play and leisure schemes for disabled children and young people in Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire. They have four schemes in Farnham, a pre-school, play-scheme, youth-scheme and young-adult scheme.
Those schemes currently support 155 children and young people in Farnham alone.
Susie Jewell, corporate fundraising manager for Challengers, said: “We are immensely grateful for the fantastic support from Forest Lodge this Christmas and the display is just stunning.
“The money raised will be hugely beneficial in helping the families that Challengers support in Farnham.”
This year in addition to this, Forest Lodge will also be donating £1 to Challengers for every cut Christmas tree sold from their huge range of freshly cut trees.
