TWO retired Bohunt teachers are setting out in April on a charity pilgrimage in northern Spain, to raise money for the Naomi House children's hospice, near Winchester.
Terry Darby and Helen Jenkins will undertake the trek after being prompted by a book.
Mr Darby said: "Years ago someone gave me a little book about the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, where the remains of St James, one of the disciples are buried, which fired my imagination.
"Years passed and I never found sufficient time to do it – 500 miles is not something you can walk over a long weekend.
"I retired from Bohunt last July and towards the end of the year suddenly realised that now there was plenty of time for anything!"
