Four Marks and Ropley Willows Beavers left their Scout hut to walk five laps of the adjoining Four Marks Recreation Ground and raise £520 for St Michael’s Hospice in Basingstoke.

Leader Lynn Vine chose to support St Michael’s as her father-in-law, and more recently one of her Beavers’ parents, had used the hospice to receive end-of-life care.

Fundraiser Louise Gough visited the Beavers to receive their cheque and present them with certificates.

Lynn said: “It was a hot day but the Beavers and a few parents persevered and made it round. Well done Beavers, super effort.”
