FOUR Marks Football Club players wore Alton Town FC kit on Saturday in a home match against Forest Town which resulted in a 2-2 draw.

The Four Marks players were showing solidarity with the Brewers who are fighting for survival having been given notice by Molson Coors to quit their ground by the end of the season.

The former Bass Sports Ground in Anstey Lane has been home to ATFC for the past 30 years but Coors wants to sell the land off for development – a move which, despite a legally binding covenant leaving the land in perpetuity for the benefit of local sport and recreation, could leave Alton's senior football club homeless.
