THE Perins School Olympic torch was handed over to Four Marks last Monday during a sports event at Medstead School.

Pupils enjoyed football, netball and multi-sport activities to celebrate the handover of the torch, which was designed by Four Marks Primary School pupil Ethan Streek in a competition organised by Perins for its feeder schools.

Having started its journey at Preston Candover, it moved on to Medstead and now to Four Marks where it is on display in the school foyer. While there the children will be working on tasks to encourage interest in the 2012 Olympic Games.

The torch will be handed over to Ropley Primary School on February 27, when children from Four Marks will undertake a torch-carrying relay between the two villages.
