THE Christmas fun dog show at Blackmoor village hall attracted entries from more than 15 breeds.

Some of the more unusual breeds included a Russian black terrier, Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever and a Komondor.

Proceeds from the entries and the raffle went to two charities: TLC Hospice Services at Home, based in Bordon, and the Blackmoor Village Hall building fund.

The event, on Sunday, December 4, was judged by Terry Woodcock, with the results as follows:

* Best (all pictured): best in show, Katie Mepham with Frankie (English pointer); best reserve in show, Bianca Stacey, Hugo (mini schnauzer); best puppy, Rachel Stone, Dottie (bulldog).

* Puppy class: 1 Rachel Stone with Dottie; 2 Tianna with Boo; 3 Jess Smithurst with Gretel.

* Veteran class: 1 Amanda Commander with Nellie; 2 Jo Blake with Sprout; 3 Jane Shaw with Harry.

* Child and dog: 1 Layah with Mimi; 2 Orla with Dottie; 3 Louise with Coco.

* Pedigree class: 1 Bianca Stacey with Hugo; 2 Kate Mepham with Frankie; 3 Bianca Stacey with Florence.

* Cross-breed: 1 Jacqui with Milli; 2 Bianca Stacey with Rufus; 3 Aimie Dixon with Bobby.

* Rescue dog: 1 Aimie Dixon with Bella.

* Waggiest tail: 1 Aimie Dixon, Bella; 2 Leyah, Mimi; 3 Harriet Mepham, Daisy.

* Dog most like owner: 1 Bianca Stacey, Florence; 2 Louise, Coco.

* Best condition: 1 Katie Murpham, Frankie; 2 Orla Stone, Cheryl; 3 Colin Stevens, Booth.

* Handsome dog: 1 Colin Stevens, Booth; 2 Orla Stone, Cheryl; 3 Katie Mepham, Frankie.

* Prettiest bitch: 1 Amie Dixon, Bobby; 2 Louise, Bell; 3 Sonia Motley, Millie.
