HASLEMERE'S traders have attacked Waverley's proposals to scrap the traditional free Saturday car parking in the town next Christmas.
The free car parking scheme on the two Saturdays before Christmas began in the early 1990s as part of a scheme to encourage more people to do their Christmas shopping in town.
