PEOPLE are invited to meet service personnel and resident cows up close at Caesar’s Camp next week at two events to mark national Heath Week.
From 11am to 3pm on Tuesday (July 31), an ’MOD & Fire Service Pit Stop’ offers the opportunity to speak to the servicemen responsible for looking after the Special Protection Area north of Farnham.
Firefighters will also be on hand to inform the public as to how they can help prevent fires in this fragile heathland - with the added attraction of fire engines to explore.
On the same day, a ’Hairy Not Scary’ event will allow people to get up close to the cows that graze at Caesar’s Camp and discover how these magnificent animals are helping to manage precious heathland habitat.
This will also be taking place from 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm.
Both events are free and will take place close to the Caesar’s Camp gate on Odiham Road, with additional parking available on nearby Sandy Hill Road.
Dogs are welcome on leads.
