FARNHAM Local Food launched ‘Fresh Food Fridays’ at the Shepherd and Flock pub last month, marking a new approach for this local food growing community.

So far the vegetable shares – which come in single, standard and family sizes – are collected from Farnham Local Food’s distribution site in Dippenhall.

Now, however, in co-operation with the Shepherd & Flock pub, this new scheme gives people who take a standard share the opportunity to collect their vegetables from the Shepherd and Flock from Friday 5pm onwards.

Farnham Local Food felt it was important to broaden its distribution method by offering a pick-up point that is centrally located and provides more flexibility.

Time is often quite precious, especially at weekends, and not everyone is able to come to the distribution site in Dippenhall. And so the idea was born to team up with the Shepherd and Flock pub.

Thanks to their enthusiastic participation, the vegetables shares will be stored, ready for collection anytime after 5pm on Fridays.

The regular distribution site will still be open every Saturday from 1pm to 4pm for those members who enjoy the short trip to Dippenhall and like chatting to other people while collecting their weekly share.

And for those who are not able to do so, the vegetables will be ready and waiting to be picked up from the conveniently placed pub.
