HOPES for concrete action to tackle Farnham town centre's serious air quality problems have been raised by a workshop on Tuesday for councillors and invited delegates from Farnham organisations.

The event, organised jointly by Waverley Borough and Surrey County Council, was primarily aimed at short-term measures, described by Surrey's transport spokesman, Ian Lake, as "some quick wins".
