A NEW application has been submitted to demolish the Redgrave Theatre and convert the attached Grade II Listed Brightwell House into two restaurant units.
Forming part of Waverley Borough Council's proposed Brightwells regeneration in East Street, the application for Listed Building Consent is the third of its kind since 2007 and comes two months after the previous permission expired in September.
Developer Crest Nicholson also proposes to demolish the late 18th Century Brightwell House's garden walls and gardener's cottage, as well as construct single and two-storey extensions to the north and west of the building.
It also plans to reinstate the building's original roofing, bay windows, chimneys, internal fireplaces and staircase.
