A new volunteer group has been launched to transform Farnham’s railway station with flowers and wildlife-friendly planting.

The Friends of Farnham Station was established to improve the appearance of the town's train station through community-led gardening, with its first major planting session taking place on Monday, June 8.

Chairman of Wrecclesham Conservation Myung-hye Chun and John Martin, leader of Badshot Lea Bloomers, led the effort alongside fellow volunteers, planting more than 300 plants at the station to attract pollinators and insects.

Ms Chun said the project was inspired by her admiration of stations where nature had been allowed to flourish. She said: “A lovely town needs a lovely station,

The newly formed group is now seeking volunteers, particularly regular commuters, to help maintain and develop the project.
