PATIENTS, staff and visitors to Frimley Park Hospital are being invited to film interviews of their opinions.

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust has installed a video kiosk where the public and staff can record their impressions of the hospitals and offer ideas for improvements.

The project was launched this week at Frimley Park Hospital and will be rolled out to Ascot’s Heatherwood Hospital next week before moving on to Wexham Park Hospital in Slough at the end of the month.

Hospital bosses say they are hoping people will share their experiences and suggest quick fix ideas for improvements they think could be introduced.

Director of nursing Nicola Ranger said: “I got the idea when I heard The Listening Project feature on Radio 4 – some of the interviews moved me to tears and it seemed such an inspiring way for people to be able to tell us their views.

“We are keen to hear what inspires our staff, why they like coming to work and what we could do a little better. And the same applies to our patients and their families – so often it is the little things which we could do or provide which can make a really big difference.”

Matron for general surgery Heather Everitt added: “Patient feedback is the most important thing we can get.”
