THE Froyle Players are busy putting the finishing touches to this weekend's The Wizard of Oz.

A traditional pantomime, featuring characters from the original script, this production tells the tale of Dorothy's adventures along the yellow brick road, meeting up with Scarecrow, Tinman and Lion, on the way to find the great Wizard of Oz.

They are thwarted at every turn by Evil Eva, the Wicked Witch of the West and her two idiot assistants, Wotchit and Witchit, and a gang of frightening winged monkeys.

To be performed at the Newton Davis Hall, Treloars College, Upper Froyle today (Friday) and tomorrow performances start at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.
