THE Mid-Hants Railway looks set to receive a hefty financial blow with the introduction from April 1 of a new Climate Change Levy Tax, which could add up to almost 20 per cent on company fuel bills.

Introduced by central government on the business use of energy, its aim is to encourage energy efficiency to help meet the UK's legally binding target for reducing greenhouse gas emissions set under the Kyoto Protocol.
