THE celebrated Bourne Show will return for its 91st instalment on the Bourne Green, Lower Bourne this Saturday (July 21) - promising lots of events and stalls to keep all the family busy.
Traditional attractions including Punch & Judy shows and magic shows will appear alongside new attractions including a ‘Bubble Football’ tournament, challenging players to compete while wearing inflatable ‘zorbs’ covering their upper body and head.
There will be music from the Alder Valley Brass Band plus a mini fairground and the famous dog show. Stalls will be manned by local charities and craft makers.
A wide range of food stalls will offer a selection of lunchtime treats - open from 12.30pm - complementing the teas provided by the Bourne WI and barbecue and refreshments at the cricket pavilion.
Centre stage at the show is the grand marquee, home to an impressive array of entries to the arts and crafts, and home produces classes.
Equally impressive will be the flower arranging entries on display in St Martin’s Church.
A vintage car show will also be taking place, starting with a Saturday morning drive for the car owners before returning to the green for visitors to enjoy the vehicles. The drive starts at The Fox pub at 10.30am.
The day will end with a barn dance in the grand marquee, a ticketed event where the community gathers to celebrate another successful show.
ME Estate Agents and The Fox pub are the principle sponsors for the 2018 Bourne Show. This year’s show takes place between 12.30pm and 5pm.
